CHOOSE YOUR ROAD!

I love the road! I love the sights, the sounds, even the smells on the road. I love the wind in my face. I love the journey. Ahh, the journey. Riding is more about the journey than about the destination, because there always seems to be another destination. The roads chosen can lead to amazing places. Places I never thought I could go. Places I never imagined even existed.

Riding is like life, I guess. “Choose your Road” wisely, and you will see places and things you can’t begin to imagine possible. But choose the wrong road, even for a short time, and you may end up a long way from where you want to go. And getting back on the right road may be much tougher than expected.

The Rotary Youth Leadership Award Conference is for leaders. You may already be a leader. Someone else might have seen leadership potential in you. We are all at different points on “The Road”. At this year’s RYLA Conference, you will meet 120 delegates, 18 youth exchange delegates from at least a dozen international youth exchange students, and 50 or more Rotarians and community leaders, all committed to the same road: The Road to Leadership Excellence.

Maybe you are on the right “Road” already. Maybe you have taken a detour which is taking you away from your destination. Rest assured that the programs you will experience at this year’s RYLA Conference will challenge your thoughts about your chosen road, and possibly take you on a different road than you expected. And along the “road” you will meet great people and share a lot of good times together.
